A burning thought for this evening:

Part of being truly classy is being able to get over it when you see people who aren't.

And what prompted that thought?!

I don't know, I guess I was just thinking about stuff. Situations and people and me, and things I imagine.

bethanie, rudd gave me this book on Lincoln's presidency, "Team of Rivals", describing Lincoln's successful attempt to surround himself with strong, intelligent men...even if they were previously his sworn enemies. Really fascinating - especially how he stayed classy while people around him...didn't.

Interesting! That reminds me of a Doug Jones lecture about nobility, and what it means to think on noble things. He talks about that same thing. I'll have to lend it to you, it's really good. Also talks about the intimidating aspect of beauty and how the Church as bride should be Beautiful and part of that might be intimidating.
